From the President

Greetings, fellow ASABE student members!

My name is Paige Seibert and I am a senior at North Carolina State University. As president of the International Student Branch, my mission for the year is to increase ISB engagement, increase participation in competitions, and improve regional rallies.

As a first step in increasing ISB communication, I will be distributing a monthly newsletter via Engage. I have already sent out the September issue. This newsletter introduces all of the new ISB officers and includes tons of information on ways to get involved. From student competitions to regional rallies, there are so many fun ways to participate in ASABE this year. Please take advantage of the wonderful opportunities ASABE offers!

About: Recognizes a junior or senior undergraduate, or graduate student member who has excelled and demonstrated leadership on the local, national and or international levels as shown by their activities and offices held at each level.

Eligibility: The recipient must be a student member of ASABE and enrolled as a student at the time of nomination. They must also be willing to attend the Awards Program during the Annual International Meeting to receive the award.

AGCO National Student Design Competition

About: The purpose of the AGCO National Student Design Competition, is to encourage undergraduate students to participate in the basic design of an engineering project useful to agriculture and related areas and to provide an arena of professionalism in which the student can experience peer recognition of a well conceived and executed design project.

Eligibility: Contestants must be Student Members of ASABE and undergraduates at the time their design projects are conducted.
